WHAT: Please be prepared to sing a song from a Broadway show. The song should be in an appropriate style and range. A piano accompanist will be provided. Please prepare about a 32 bar excerpt (possibly one verse and a chorus). Piano player does not read a lead sheet, fully realized accompaniments only please. Anyone caught singing ‘Part of Your World’ or ‘Defying Gravity’ will not be considered for a role.
-Preparation is key! Be memorized and put your best foot forward.
– Print out your sheet music.
– Please review all pertinent dates.
– No monologue is required. There will, instead, be readings from the script.
ABOUT: Wilhelm, a lowly clerk, and Käthchen, the daughter of a well to do forester, wish to get married. But Wilhelm must first demonstrate the brawny skills of a huntsman for Käthchen’s father to approve. What to do? Along comes Pegleg with an offer Wilhelm cannot resist.
Rehearsals begin June 10
and are held Sunday-Thursday 7:30pm-10:30pm
August 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25 @ 8pm
August 5, 12, 19, 26 @ 7pm
