Green Valley Theatre Company is proud to present Jez Butterworth’s “Jerusalem.” Deep within “England’s green and pleasant land” Johnny Rooster Byron sits outside his trailer and overlooks the St. George’s Day festivities in the local town. He is a former daredevil motorcyclist, drifter, waster, general Pied Piper, and a wanted man. The council wants to serve him an eviction notice, his motley crew of mates wants his ample supply of illicit fortitude, Troy Whitworth wants to pound him with a metal pipe, and Marky wants his dad to take him to the fair. Jerusalem is a bawdy, drug- and booze-fueled exploration of England’s national identity, life on the margins of society, and the inherent necessity of rebellion.

Green Valley Theatre Company is proud to present Willy Russell’s “Blood Brothers”, a musical set in Liverpool spanning the 1960′s-1980′s. Mrs. Johnstone, struggling to support her five children, learns she is pregnant with twins. Her wealthy employer, Mrs. Lyons is unable to have a child and begs to take one of the boys. Mrs. Lyons ensures no one will find out by telling Mrs. Johnstone that if two twins secretly parted ever learn the truth they will both die. The brothers grow up separately, yet become best friends and fall in love with the same girl. The narrator however steps in, like fate, and warns that “a price must be paid”.

Green Valley Theatre Company is proud to present Elton John & Tim Rice’s AIDA. The award-winning timeless love story, will be showing at the Grange Performing Arts Center in Sacramento February 15th-March 10th. Based on the story from the classic Verdi opera, AIDA is a musical with Elton John’s modern score that includes several different styles of music. From soulful gospel numbers to rock ballads-even a reggae number this show has got something for everyone.
